A Rare Hug" – A Day Full of Love, Care and Solidarity
On Sunday, December 21, 2025, at the Caravel Hotel, the Institute of Pharmaceutical Research and Technology (IFET S.A.) and the Hellenic Alliance for Rare Diseases (H.A.R.D.), with the kind support of Avanzanite Bioscience, Genesis Pharma, and Integris Pharma, co-organized the Christmas event “A Rare Embrace”, dedicated to children living with rare and complex conditions.
The event was a heartfelt celebration filled with children’s laughter, music, creative activities, and Christmas gifts, sending a strong message of hope, love, and support to families who fight their own daily battles.
The event was honored by the presence of IFET CEO Ms. Eleftheria Tokatlidi, IFET President Ms. Nadia Papakosta, H.A.R.D. President Mr. Vasilis Karatzias, Vice President Mr. Dimitris Athanasiou, as well as representatives of the supporting companies.
During her speech, Ms. Tokatlidi presented the significant reforms implemented at IFET over the past two years, which have fundamentally transformed the organization’s philosophy and operations, ensuring faster access to medicines and greater transparency.
Specifically, Ms. Tokatlidi emphasized:
“The event ‘A Rare Embrace’ is more than just a celebration for us. It is an act of solidarity and commitment to children and families facing rare diseases. At IFET, we are here to fill the gaps, ensuring that no patient is left without their treatment. The changes we have implemented significantly reduce waiting times and strengthen trust. We continue with vision and responsibility, because Health is a right for all.”
The collaboration between H.A.R.D. and IFET, along with the support of the pharmaceutical community, demonstrates that when institutions and patients work together, real impact is achieved.
